Shikhar Dhawan makes a jump into top-10 of ICC ODI batsmen ranking with No9 spot

The opener has made the top-10 of the ICC rankings for the first time ever.

On Sunday, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan for the very first time in his career made it into the top-10 of the ICC ODI batsmen's ranking.
As India get set for their tour of South Africa this news will surely put the team on a high with Virat Kohli leading the rankings in ODIs from AB de Villiers and MS Dhoni in the mix at No6.
In the last ODI between India and West Indies which the hosts won, Dhawan slammed a century and claimed two records this yearby becoming the first batsman to score five ODI 100s this year as well as become the first player from any side to slam 20 fours in ODIs in 2013.
Dhawan has made it clear that he is excited about the trip to South Africa as he feels the conditions there are suitable to his aggressive style of batting.
The batting ranking rise will surely add to his confidence as Dhawan and Team India prepare for the first ODI vs South Africa in Johannesburg on December 5.
