Eggless Chocolate Cake

Eggless Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Serves: 18 

  • 375g plain flour

  • 375g castor sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

  • 45g cocoa powder

  •  180ml vegetable oil

     

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 500ml cold water


    Directions

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  • Sift flour, sugar, salt, bicarb and cocoa together into a 20x30cm ungreased cake tin. Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well. Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.
  • Bake at 180 C for 30 to 40 minutes, or until skewer inserted comes out clean. Ice with your favourite icing.
